- Flights to 15 destinations cancelled - Flights cancelled until further notice
Tirana, April 17 NOA - Tirana International Airport
(TIA) announces today, Saturday 17 April 2010, that the flights to London, Budapest, Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Bologna, Genova, Milano, Rimini, Torino, Treviso, Verona, Ljubljana and Prishtina are cancelled because of ash emanating from the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland.
The volcano erupted on Wednesday 14 April and the cloud of volcanic ash has spread throughout Northern Europe.
TIA underlines that scheduled flights to Athens, Bari, Rome and Istanbul are operating normally. Passengers with onward connecting flights are recommended to contact their carrier for further information concerning the trip.
The above flights are cancelled until further notice. Tirana International Airport will keep all its passengers informed in the event of other flight cancellations.
